Nothing up to this point was even close to that
I have to say that I was lucky enough to binge watch The Bureau a few years ago and to be honest, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever watched. There is a correlation between these two series, apparently it was mentioned that it "influenced" by that, but tbh I didn’t expect a similar story. Don’t get me wrong, the series up to this point is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it’s not something I haven’t already seen in the French version.
You wont regret it
It’s too early to tell how it will turn out, but I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional hitman in David Fincher’s The Killer, and I saw that he was in the cast, I knew immediately that he was a great choice for the role. Such series actually require a certain concentration while watching them, so that you can follow all the characters in the story and small details about them.
It’s not something you’d watch while cycling on an exercise bike
Some would even find them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s these characteristics and the complicated personal battles the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, is what makes them great in my opinion. The kind of series that you either love or don’t like at all, there’s no middle ground.
